The stock definition by feminists is that ';a feminist is someone who believes in equal rights and does not judge someone’s gender to be superior over another. A non-feminist is someone who aligns herself with traditional values of superiority of males over females';
But isn't that sanctimonious and hypocritical twaddle?
My belief is that in reality feminism is a monster wearing a human mask. That if you peel away that mask what you find is naked hate and hypocrisy.Feminism is a Monster wearing a Human mask?
I don't understand why there is a movement called feminism for equal rights if women got equal rights a long time ago.Feminism is a Monster wearing a Human mask?
I am an anti-feminist. Report Abuse
Blah, blah, blah. Can't anyone of you come up with something more original than this tired old dribble?
YES, *many* women who called themselves feminists in the past did some pretty stupid, hateful, sexist things. But that does not make feminism or the majority of feminists bad.
Take Christianity, for example. I hate to compare it to a religion, but this analogy works. If you were to look at all of the evil that Christians have wrought on the world since the history of humanity, you could conclude that Christianity is an evil religion and that Christians are evil. But, almost everyone knows that that is absolute b*llshit. There is nothing wrong with Christianity as a religion, and the basic doctrine is wonderful. Almost everyone recognizes that some very vile people have used Christianity in the past to accomplish their own evil ends. Additionally, it is recognized that some have misinterpreted Christianity and ';killed in the name of God';. But despite all this, THIS DOES NOT MAKE CHRISTIANITY A BAD RELIGION. Christianity itself is not responsible for the horrible actions of so-called ';Christians';. Overall, Christianity is a fine religion and a great guide to how to live your life. And the majority of Christians are decent people.
(Please note, I'm not a Christian)
It's the same way with feminism. Feminism as a movement is not responsible for the actions of a handful of idiots who either misinterpreted it or tried to bend it to their own ends. Feminism itself is a very GOOD movement with very good core beliefs. And the majority of feminists genuinely believe those core beliefs. It's unfortunate that the ones who get the most public attention are the ';bad apples';, but that does not make feminism or the majority of feminists bad.
nope it is not
uhhh i have no clue.
Feminists are quick to say ';but the radicals dont speak for us'; and ';the radicals might want to make unjust laws and equal outcomes instead of equal opportunity'; and say ';but feminism is about equality';
But where are these women fighting against the radicals. They are nowhere to be seen or heard. Either feminism is about equality or not. Should they fight to keep the good name of feminism. Sure they should, because they have no credibility as it is now with being silent.
I think ALL humans are monsters in masks so I will agree with you.
I don't know why I waste my time answering this sort of misogynistic drivel. What is so wrong with wanting to have equity? What are these people so frightened of? Are they so insecure they can only feel like 'men' by oppressing women?
As far as I can see the naked hate and hypocrisy is merely the projection of the questioner's own distorted views.
These people never put a reasoned argument just a litany of misogynistic hate. The more I see of such questions the more I know why I'm a feminist.
Its wrong.
It's definitely twaddle.
That's not necessarily true. Non-feminists don't always believe in gender superiority of either sort. I disagree with that definition. A non-feminist is one who just doesn't care about gender relations one way or the other.
Did you get out of bed the wrong side this morning?
