Masked balls?

My cousin's quince is going to be a masked ball theme. her dress will probably be white, while me and my other cousin (we're special) are going to have pink, and the rest of the girl court will be Red (maroonish?). So we need help on what the guys are wearing. And masks. We want the kind that is a string or ribbion around your head to hold it, but the the stick ones seem really elegant.

and any ideas on how to make Hall spectuacular. It was just be a regular halls with a few windows.

Hum... Your cousin should wear an elegant stick mask and you and the other special people should wear simple pink sequined masks. ( while your cousin wers a white sequined on elegant and feathery) You should have a color theme like pink and white (example) tell that to your guests. If the special people and you have esquorts then they should wear a tux with open jacket and lose collar with pink shirts and your cousin's escourt shouls be the same with a white shirt. For their masks they should wear masks like the male dancers in ';Just My Luck' E-mail me if you need anymore help!

Where/When are there masked balls held in or near Virginia?

I've always wanted to go to a masked ball. I'm looking for one to attend that is truly elegant, ball gowns and all, not just long A-line type dresses. How do I locate one? My searches are not coming up with much. Thanks.Where/When are there masked balls held in or near Virginia?
They are very few and far between. Almost all are private events held close to holidays.

However, there is something similar to what you may be interested in that occurs every July. The Mid-Summer Fantasy Ball is held to raise funds for MS research. Currently, the web site has been taken down but look for it around February when tickets go on sale.

I would presume a masked ball would be held around Mardi Gras,in conjunction with the masked Mardi Gras balls in New Orleans.This usually happens around mid Februrary.Check with your local newspapers about this event.

For masquerade balls, most people buy their masks, not make them.

But if you want to make yours, thats cute too. I like your idea of just getting a plain half mask for the base.

I would go as either the pope, or one of the fabulous medicci's. Maybe romeo and juliette. someone italian for sure. even michaelangelo or gallileo. :)

I don'te recall many people I would love to become.

Yet I would have loved being in that wicked black ';web'; dress, that the girl in movie ';Legends'; wore while she was being seduced by the Devil and she was dancing with the flames. The ballet dancers in the shadows were incredible.

When you go you can rent everything you need. They should have masks, guns, tanks, and paintballs all in one package. They do have a protective vest you can rent but it makes you look sissy. Take more money than you think you would need and if you want to save money bring your own food and drinks. You can also where heavier clothing if you are scared of getting hit. if you are going to a park they will supply the gun,mask, and any ammunition/air you will need iv never heard of anyone providing clothing...i suggest wearing something a lil bulky can soften the blow...the paint shouldnt stain although it has done so to me on occasion..hope this helps....
they will provide you with a gun rental, mask, and air or c02 depending on what they're using. wear some clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

I want to know what they looked like and I'm working on a project in which I need to create masks for the scene when Romeo and Juliet meet at the Capulet ball.

I need to make masks for Tybalt, Juliet, Mercutio, %26amp; Benvolio that they may have chosen to wear to the Capulet ball.

I also need to explain my reasons for the designs that I create for each character.

This is a topic on which you may have better luck in your nearest university library reference room, especially if the school has a good drama program. There are likely to be a lot of books with pictures which go beyond what's available electronically. Ask a reference librarian for help locating these, which may be in reference or in the stacks to be checked out.
