to a formal masquerade ball you don't really go as 'anyone'. You wear formal wear - nice gowns and acessories and then you wear as big or as small a mask as you like. Some masks do have a thme though - like an amimal, a fool, an old man...


You can even make one yourself by geting a cheeaper eye mask and hot glue gun feathers/lace/beads or whatever to it. An Evening gown, preferably black since it is a formal affair. As far as the mask, in off season I would go to a local costume or joke shop, they usually carry them year round. For added class, see if you can find one that is mounted in a stick that you hold up to your face. A little added mystery. Besides, if everyone removes there mask near the end of the evening, you will be the girl with her eye make-up intact. You might also try ebay for a mask depending on how far away the scheduled event is. Hope this helps.

Well to find a cheap dress go to a thrift store. I have bought them for 50 dollars and less. As for a mask, try a fetish shop or costume store. Try the drew barrymore look from Everafter. Very beautiful.
If you have light-olive skin wear a black mask, very plain. Get a richly colored dress and do your hair in a fab updo. With like, pieces curled hanging down. get a tan, and wear comffortably adorable shoes.
